The Story of Valerio V
Centuries of heritage, reborn through leather and art.
The legacy of Valerio V began generations ago in the highlands of Mexico, where skilled artisans passed down the ancient art of leather carving and hand-stitching from master to apprentice.
What started as a family trade beneath the shadow of the pyramids of Teotihuacán has evolved into a symbol of timeless luxury and craftsmanship.
Our designs draw inspiration from Aztec and Mayan iconography — sacred symbols of strength, balance, and protection — reimagined for the modern world. Each piece carries echoes of ancestral artistry: the patterns once etched into stone temples, now carved by hand into full-grain leather.
Over the decades, Valerio V has perfected a unique technique of tooling and dyeing leather that enhances both durability and character. When cared for properly, our creations can last 25 to 40 years, developing a deep patina that tells the story of every journey it takes.
Today, our artisans continue to craft each item near the ancient city of Mexico City — blending centuries-old tradition with contemporary design. Every stitch, every cut, every symbol is intentional — a tribute to the spirit of those who came before us and to those who carry our legacy forward.
At Valerio V, we don’t just create leather goods — we preserve culture, honor craftsmanship, and design for those who understand that luxury is not bought, it is inherited.
